Summary
TerraGrid Tech Private Limited collects only information reasonably needed to run accounts, approved subscriptions, receipts, support, security, legal compliance and website enquiries. We do not sell personal data.
Who we are and how to contact us
TerraGrid Tech Private Limited, trading as TerraGridTech, is established in India. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to privacy@terragridtech.com; general enquiries to contact@terragridtech.com.
Scope and our roles
This policy covers the public website, current B2B receipt services, Merchant POS and TGT User Wallet. For receipt information handled on a business customer’s instructions, TerraGridTech generally acts as its processor or service provider. For accounts, subscriptions, security, support, tax, legal compliance and website enquiries, TerraGridTech acts as an independent controller or data fiduciary. The business remains responsible for lawful and accurate receipt information it submits.
Information we handle
- Account and contact details, authentication identifiers and team membership
- Business, store, branch, device, subscription and activation information
- Receipt details submitted by an authorised business, including transaction references, items, totals and recipient contact data when supplied lawfully
- Wallet account details and personal organisation metadata
- Connection, device, security, audit, support and diagnostic information
- Payment, billing and tax information only when those capabilities are enabled
- Website enquiry content and ordinary hosting request metadata
Where information comes from
Information comes from account users, business customers and their authorised POS systems, receipt recipients, support correspondents, security records, approved service providers and lawful public or government sources where necessary.
Why we use information
- Provide, secure and support current services
- Approve businesses, link memberships and administer access
- Activate and account for receipt plans and usage
- Create, deliver and allow recipients to save receipts
- Respond to enquiries, rights requests, complaints and security reports
- Prevent misuse, investigate incidents, keep audit records and enforce agreements
- Meet tax, accounting, legal and regulatory duties
Permitted grounds and legal bases
Depending on the activity and applicable law, processing may be necessary to perform a contract or take requested pre-contract steps, comply with law, pursue legitimate interests such as service security and support, act on valid consent, or follow a customer’s documented instructions as its processor. Consent is not used where another ground properly applies, and may be withdrawn where it is the ground.
Website enquiries
Public contact journeys prepare an email or direct you to an address; they do not falsely report an automated submission. Marketing interest is optional, separate and not preselected. Do not send passwords, card data, CVV, OTP, UPI PIN, Aadhaar numbers or unnecessary sensitive data through contact, support or receipt fields.
Wallet personal metadata is separate
A Wallet user’s Category, Label, Note, Visibility and Report preference are personal organisation fields. They are not part of the merchant’s original receipt proof unless the Wallet user deliberately shares them through an approved feature. No active AI categorisation is claimed or used by the public website.
Service providers and international transfers
We share information only with approved providers needed to deliver a service, or where law requires it. The current public website uses Firebase Hosting. Provider details appear in the Subprocessor List. Where information is transferred internationally, we use appropriate contractual or other safeguards when applicable. PayU, analytics, advertising and future AI providers are not active website providers.
Retention
We retain information only for operational, contractual and lawful purposes, then delete or anonymise it where appropriate. Exact periods depend on the record and customer instructions. Deletion may be limited by tax, fraud prevention, security, disputes, legal claims, statutory requirements and legal holds. Business closure, subscription cancellation, app-account deletion and personal-data deletion are separate actions.
Security
We use proportionate technical and organisational controls, including encrypted transport, authentication, access controls, business isolation, restricted key visibility, audit records and limited production access. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.
Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law and circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, grievance handling, or information about a nominee or representative. We use proportionate verification and do not normally require government identification. Some rights have legal exceptions. Use the Privacy and Data Rights page or email privacy@terragridtech.com.
India DPDP rights
Where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies and its relevant provisions are in force, data principals may have rights to information, correction, completion, updating, erasure, grievance redressal and nomination, subject to the Act and applicable rules. You may also use applicable statutory complaint routes after our grievance process.
EU and UK rights where applicable
Where EU or UK data-protection law applies, rights may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and complaint to a competent supervisory authority. You may object to direct marketing at any time. TerraGridTech has not appointed a DPO, EU representative or UK representative; whether one becomes required will be reviewed before active targeting.
Children and automated decisions
The services are not directed to children. Do not use them to submit children’s information without appropriate authority and safeguards. TerraGridTech does not use public-site data for solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects and does not claim active AI categorisation.
Changes and complaints
We will version material changes and provide appropriate notice or seek reacceptance where required. Privacy complaints may be sent to privacy@terragridtech.com. This page provides general information and does not replace advice from a qualified professional.
